One day following the death of Thomas Eric Duncan, the first person to die of Ebola in the U.S., Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital formally responded to criticisms about his care, according to Huffington Post.

"Our team provided Mr. Duncan with the same high level of attention and care that would be given any patient, regardless of nationality or ability to pay for care," according to a hospital statement. "We have a long history of treating a multicultural community in this area."
