Health clinics move into malls' empty spaces

Walk-in medical clinics are poised to fill in the empty spaces in U.S. malls as many chains shut down their operations, according to Bloomberg Businessweek

Demand is driven by patients who lack a regular physician and are unable to get a last-minute appointment. The clinics “look for retail outlets with high visibility, high traffic patterns and signage capabilities,” said Scott Mason, executive managing director of Cushman & Wakefield’s health-care group, in the article.
