LOUISVILLE, KY; CHICAGO; ATLANTA and BOSTON – November 13, 2018 Waystar, a top-rated revenue cycle technology company, today announced four new additions to its executive leadership team. Tad Kendall joins the company as chief sales officer, Jeff Hurst as EVP of the client success team, Peter J. Siavelis as SVP of health systems and hospitals and Tracey Weinberg as SVP of marketing. The new leadership will add to Waystar’s seasoned team of healthcare, tech and finance industry veterans, who have grown the company into a revenue cycle management leader whose next-generation platform is used by more than 450,000 providers, 22,000 healthcare organizations and 750 health systems and hospitals.

“As we move toward our next phase of growth and success, it is essential that we have the right leadership in place. The combined knowledge of our new executives positions us well to become even more of a market leader,” said Matt Hawkins, CEO of Waystar. “We are thrilled to have them join our team as we work toward our commitment to drastically improving the revenue cycle for hospitals and health systems.”

Tad Kendall, chief sales officer, will lead overall sales strategy and activity. A go-to-market leader with more than 25 years of experience in the healthcare and life sciences industries, Kendall has a proven track record of building and leading a high-performance sales culture across large organizations, generating quality growth and creating a differentiated client experience. He most recently served as SVP of go-to-market for Cotiviti where he led growth from $300 million in sales to $700 million, playing a major role in its IPO and $4.9 billion private equity acquisition.

Jeff Hurst will head up the client success team as EVP. A seasoned executive, he brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in both the hospital and technology spaces. He most recently served as SVP of revenue cycle management and president of RevWorks at Cerner, where he helped grow revenue by more than $250 million in just two years. Before joining Cerner, Hurst was SVP and senior finance officer at Florida Hospital (of Adventist Health System), where he oversaw the single-largest IT implementation in the hospital’s history.

Peter J. Siavelis, SVP of health systems and hospitals, will be responsible for managing the growth of this important segment, overseeing strategy development and refining Waystar’s platform solutions. Siavelis is an accomplished sales strategist with more than 20 years of experience in healthcare IT, medical informatics and sales management at a number of prominent healthcare technology businesses. He was previously CCO at StayWell and has served as president of Merge Healthcare’s U.S. sales.

Tracey Weinberg, SVP of marketing, will drive the marketing team to elevate the Waystar brand in support of company growth. Prior to joining Waystar, Weinberg held marketing leadership roles at Braintree (acquired by PayPal), iPay Technologies (acquired by Jack Henry & Associates) and Orbitz.

Kendall, Hurst, Siavelis and Weinberg join Waystar during a period of transformative growth.  The company recently acquired the transaction services arm of Ovation, a patient verification and claims status solution vendor, as well as predictive analytics and workflow solutions company Connance.
