Burwell: ACA will yield $5.6B in savings in uncompensated hospital costs

Thanks to the Affordable Care Act, hospitals will spend $5.6 billion less on uncompensated hospital care, according to Health & Human Services Secretary Sylvia Burwell, reports USA Today.

States that have expanded Medicaid so all low-income residents would have medical coverage will reap about 74 percent of the savings nationally, Burwell added.
