CDC to offer more Ebola training to healthcare industry

In response to news that a nurse has contracted Ebola, a spokesperson from the Centers or Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that the agency would issue more specific instructions and explanations on the use of protective gear, reports The New York Times.

“Every U.S. healthcare facility needs to have the capability to initially handle a case. Even if the patient is going to be transferred to another facility, they need to be able to handle the first moments,” said CDC spokeswoman Abbigail Tumpey, according to the article.
