Physician shortage cutting into the bottom lines at hospitals

 

While healthcare executives have been worried about the high cost of implementing the Affordable Care Act, what's really keeping them up at night is the rising cost of labor caused by the declining number of physicians, according to Forbes.

Executives are saying that the cost of higher salaries is a bigger cost driver in their organizations than those associated with healthcare reform costs.
