Legislators look to repeal medical device tax

 

Momentum is growing in Congress to repeal taxes on medical device sales, reports The Hill.

A bipartisan group of lawmakers are supporting new legislation introduced by Rep. Erik Paulsen (R-Minn.) that would eliminate the 2.3 percent tax on device sales. However, the effort may encounter obstacles if the lawmakers cannot find the funds to offset the revenue lost from repeal.
