Deyta Offers Submission Services to Hospices for Automated Submission of Hospice Item Set Data to CM

Louisville, KY, June 19, 2014 -- Deyta, LLC announced today that it will offer Submission Services with its new Quality Actionboards to further alleviate administrative burdens associated with ensuring Hospice Item Set (HIS) compliance. As part of the CMS Hospice Quality Reporting Program (HQRP), all Medicare-certified hospices will be required to capture, validate and report the 64 patient-level data elements that comprise the HIS for all patients admitted on or after July 1, 2014.

Aetna and LHS Health Network Reach New Agreement

PARSIPPANY, N.J.– Aetna (NYSE: AET) and LHS Health Network, an affiliate of Lourdes Health System, today announced a new accountable care organization (ACO) agreement that will improve the coordination and delivery of patient care. This week Washington took a major step toward nailing down a solid game plan on federal AI spending for everything outside of defense.

The recall includes specific lots of five different medical devices used to treat stroke and other neurovascular diseases.

The agency is urging healthcare providers to transition away from these devices and seek out alternatives. It is even working with other manufacturers to try and get similar products on the market as quickly as possible.
